Working on a HL7 Pilot project for integrating hospitals into a network for a unique patient identification.

2005 - 2009, eCHN/Emergis, Toronto, Canada - Senior Interfaces Analyst

Role: Developing middleware components for integration and interfacing hospital engines with the eCHN repository system, day to day maintenance of production support and application support.

Responsibilities:

- Code, test, deploy and debug HL7 data communication programs, making different systems to communicate using HL7 messaging;

- Design, develop and test the interfaces between different application systems;

- Manage, support, configure and operate Sybase Impact interface engine;

- Investigate data issues on production environment, maintain and monitor data flow infrastructure to ensure 7x24 availability;

- Participate in the software development life cycle including, requirement analysis, design, code, integration, verification, bug tracking, maintenance, and ensuring software quality;

- Maintained and updated the code base with code merging and reviewed;

Achievements:

Integrated more than half of the hospitals affiliated to the eCHN and, for almost two years acted as Interfaces team lead and trained junior staff.
