“SPC Owusu assisted the Property Book Section by identifying deficiencies in the hand receipt during the initial split of the property, which ensured full accountability. He effectively managed three property books with a combined value of more than $36M without incident. He ensured rear detachment personnel properly purchased, received, and forwarded items in a timely manner to the appropriate personnel, providing newly fielded equipment and supplies to the warfighter. He facilitated the transition of Troop II to Mosul by requesting and flying the equipment and supplies needed by the Troop in order to stand up an operational base and by facilitating its ability to immediately assume operations. Additionally, he upgraded, repaired, and filled the shortages on 24 hour operations, from both Task Force Raptor and Fort Bragg property books, through the small arms repair shop in an expeditious manner, which kept the teams at 100% mission readiness.”
