Duties: Contractor QA Rep for several contractors performing the final inspection of equipment repaired at the FCMF (FORSCOM Contract Maintenance Facility). Perform initial, in-process and final equipment inspections, Quality Assurance inspections and evaluations in support of maintenance on all types of commercial and tactical trucks and associated support equipment. Perform Estimated Cost of Damage (ECOD) and Actual Cost of Damage (ACOD) inspections; verify condition codes. Make inspections in accordance with Maintenance Allocation Charts and Technical Manuals and order repair parts. Perform final inspection of completed jobs for conformance to standards and safety issues. Last contractor to ensure maintenance standards are met before repaired items are returned to the control of authorized government agencies. Test and operate vehicles and equipment as required and observe for evidence of abnormal operation. Constantly informed of all new maintenance procedures and policies with regard to the items being repaired by the FCMF to ensure most current changes and standards were applied and enforced. Keep FCMF technicians abreast with technical data received from manufacturer, Logistics Assistance Reps, and higher headquarters, including Safety Messages that required special attention or application. Conducted unannounced inspections of work sites, work procedures, and items being repaired in various stages of repair in an effort to ensure compliance with standards are met. Provided assistance to the Project Officer, keeping him informed of inspection results, proper repair techniques, procedures and policies. Gather technical data for upcoming projects and render assessments as to current capabilities of FCMF to perform additional maintenance tasks. Performed troubleshooting procedures of equipment vehicles and tracks using the STE-ICE, ground hop kits, and multi meters. Managed the unit Army Oil Analysis Program (AOAP) and TMDE program with zero delinquencies.
