I am seeking a position as a Systems Analyst in Data Processing. I
have over 20 years in the data processing field and I am seeking
employment in Northern Virginia only. I am interested in a long term
project where my primary duties consist of requirements gathering
through interfacing with the client (user) or JAD sessions, design,
analysis document preparation and Case Tool utilization Although I do
not have client server experience I have created a data base utilizing
IEF Case Tool to design a client server data base.
I have a diverse background of business systems projects (finance,

learning something new.

SUMMARY OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
I have over 20 years experience in the data processing field with over
15 years in data base design and 6 years of managerial experience. As
a Systems Analyst at TRECOM I am responsible for maintaining a billing
system for AT&T by providing analysis to the legacy system based on
user requirements in a DB2 and IMS environment. As a Systems Analyst
at PSI International, I was responsible for the analysis, design and
development of the Subsidiary Ledger for the Department of Education.
The Subsidiary Ledger was designed utilizing IEF case tools. The Debt
Management and Collections system utilizes the IDMS data base
management system and COBOL/ADSO software. As a Business Analyst at
The Department of Motor Vehicles, I was responsible for the analysis
and detail design of the Registration Renewal subsystem utilizing
ADABAS data base management system and NATURAL 2 software. As a
Business Analyst at Citicorp, I was responsible for the analysis and
conversion of the Client Activity Reporting subsystem within the VISA
system. The VISA system utilizes the IDMS data base management system
and ADSO software. As the Project Leader/Task Monitor at CRC Systems,
Inc., I was responsible for the analysis and design of the Cost
Analysis/Budget and Master Schedule systems for the DDN worldwide
utilizing the ADABAS data base management system and NATURAL 2
software. As the Software Development Manager at G.T.S.I., I was
responsible for the supervision of MIS department personnel, project
status reporting, project resource scheduling for the implementation
of a Telemarketing system. With PRC I was responsible for the
relational data base design utilizing existing data stores and data
structures defined in subsystem functional descriptions. Earlier, I
participated in the design and analysis of and provided management
support for the Purchase Material Control (PMC).
CURRENT RESPONSIBILITIES
:
As a Systems Analyst at TRECOM, my duties are to analyze business
requirements and maintain the current billing system. I am responsible
for the impact analysis and development of new user requirements to
the legacy system.
November 1993 September 1996. As a Systems Analyst for PSI
International I developed the Subsidiary Ledger for the Department of
Education utilizing IEF case tools to create the Logical Data Model
(Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) and entity attributes and
definitions) and Process Model. I also gathered the requirements
performed the analysis and wrote the General Requirements Documents
for the Subsidiary Ledger. I also participated in the Joint
Applications Design (JAD) sessions and the development of the Detail
Design Document.
May 1992
March 1993. As a Business Analyst for the Department of Motor
Vehicles (Computer Consulting Group (consultant)), my duties were to
analyze and develop the Vehicle Registration Renewal process for the
Commonwealth of Virginia. The DMV utilizes the ADABAS data base
management system and NATURAL 2 software.
November 1989 November 1991. As a Business Analyst at Citicorp (METRO
Consultant), my duties were to analyze and convert existing VISA
functionality into an upgraded system utilizing IDMS and ADSO
software. I was responsible for the analysis of the current Client
Activity Reporting subsystem and converting the existing data into the
new subsystem functionality
November 1988
September 1989. As the Project Leader/Task Monitor at
CRC Systems, Inc., my duties were to manage the design, development
and implementation of the Cost Analysis/Budget and Master Schedule
systems for the Defense Data Network (DDN) worldwide. This project
utilized ADABAS data base management system and NATURAL 2 software.
January 1988
August 1988. As the Software Development Manager at
Government Technologies Services Inc., my duties were to conduct MIS
council meetings with Corporate Officers to review the status of
projects and for planning schedules. I supervised the daily activities
of the MIS staff in the design and implementation of a Telemarketing
system.
May 1986
January 1988. As a System Applications Specialist for SABRS,
I was responsible for the development of procedures for tracking
change requests (USMC directed or contractor initiated) from inception
to implementation. I also participated in the general design,
functional design and detail design of the Travel subsystem.
January 1984 April 1986. I designed the logical data base for SABRS
using Design Manager and Data Manager software. SABRS utilized IBM
3080 NATURAL and COBOL under MVS/XA operating system with ADABAS data
base management systems (DBMS). Earlier, as a team leader assigned to
the Egyptian Air Force Integrated Logistics System (EAF/ILS) project,
I was responsible for the detailed design and development of the
Maintenance Control subsystem utilizing structured IDMS programming
techniques on an IBM4341. My duties included the technical supervision
of a team of seven programmer/analysts as well as direct participation
in the development effort.
