Students will learn how to prepare and inspect supplies and equipment for embarkation. Students are introduced to logistics and combat service support terminology and principles.

Logistics and Embarkation Career Course (LECC) / Team Embarkation Officer (TEO)Course

Eightweek coursethat introduces the administrative and logistics/combat service support requirements to enhance intermediate logistics/embarkation knowledge and skills. The course provides training on the U.S. Transportation Command and Components, amphibious embarkation, ship loading considerations, detailed considerations related to transportation in joint and combined operations utilizing military and/or commercial transportation, transportation planning for air, highway and rail movements, computation of specific transportation requirements, and Maritime Prepositioning Force (MPF) operations. The course also provides training on the MAGTF Deployment Support System II (MDSS II), Computer Aided Embarkation Management System (CAEMS), Computer Aided Manifest System (CAEMS), and the management and maintenance of publications. 5 week course that provides career-level training which supplements professional knowledge and develops those skills necessary to perform the duties of a CSS Chief. Logistics and CSS planning functions are taught for both non-deployed and deployed environments. Subject matter includes transportation planning, CSS planning, Maritime Pre-positioning Force (MPF) requirements, the publication of plans and reports, an overview of maintenance management programs, safety/hazardous materials, operations, determining requirements, CSS in special operations, and an overview of the joint environment. A tactical scenario is used as the framework for a Combat Service Support Operations Center (CSSOC) exercise that includes a full logistical build-up ashore and requires students to perform the planning functions for the CSS organizations of a MAGTF.
