Maintenance Manager-Performed maintenance, repair, and modifications to an Olbrich coating machine, a Durr Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer, and the building housing it. Created and implemented a p.m. program for the machines and the facility. Designed machine modifications to improve efficiency and productivity. Installed and wired the initial phone and computer network. Built shipping, QC, & maint. offices. Built Maintenance shop. Set up tool inventory for production and maintenance. Modified HVAC systems to keep improperly designed systems operating during all seasons. Designed and installed condensate recovery system to reduce sludge in steam boiler. Trained operators how to do minor maintenance during weekly shut down to reduce maintenance down time. Established a “Do this before you call me.” list so operators could bring the machine or building systems back on line after minor problems they had been calling the maintenance manager to come fix. For 4 years, I was solely responsible for all maintenance and on call 24/7.
