The majority of the projects shown below were Mr. Griebling s responsibility,
either as designer, project architect or principal. On virtually all of them, he
played a significant role in the marketing and procurement of the project,
including proposal strategy and writing, and in contract negotiation with the
client. On most of the projects, he performed multiple tasks shared with the
project team, including master site planning, facility master planning, space
programming, design, estimating, construction documents, and construction
administration. The following projects were executed with the firms identified
under Professional History (above).

Scottsdale M emorial H ospital
Scottsdale, AZ
Facility Master Plan; New Freestanding Hospital including ICU/CCU beds; all
diagnostic and treatment facilities
The first phase of the project (above) consisted of a 120-bed full service hospital.
A unique master planning concept (left, for 500 beds) allows each department to
respond to internal workload changes and to expand independently without
disrupting other functional areas. this incremental growth plan provides for an
ultimate growth to 500 beds. As testimony to this approach, the hospital was
indeed doubled in size, to 250 beds with minimal disruption to phase one
facilities.
