Orleans - $1200 awarded for travel to Peru to conduct research on variation of

craniofacial measurements and genetic relatedness.

INTERNSHIPS

1/17/94-5/15/94:

Colorado Department of Transportation: Denver, CO.

This internship involved the identification and cataloging of prehistoric stone tool artifacts and

the completion of the paperwork necessary for their storage.

8/22/93-12/15/93:

Colorado History Museum: Denver, CO.

This internship involved practical experience in the cataloging, numbering, conservation, and

storage of museum artifacts and the cross-referencing of indexed artifacts with computer records

in conjunction with the museum's response to the Native American Graves Protection and

Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). It also involved the preparation and installation of the 1993 Time

Capsule exhibit which opened to the public in December 1993. This necessitated developing a

list of significant events, trends and people of the year, gathering artifacts and ephemera materials

for inclusion in the exhibit, and documenting the collections.
