I have enjoyed a pro-active and results oriented career as a controller and with over 20 years of experience in all aspects of accounting and financial management. Had overall authority for the financial reporting of several companies (one with estimated 600 employees). Well rounded experience in multiple industries mainly construction along with property management and service oriented businesses in small, mid size to large corporations, with annual revenues ranging from $4 to $60 million.
Overall authority for the financial reporting, not limited to: GL, AP, AR, billings, credit & collections, purchasing & inventory, PR (and tax), job costing, fixed assets, insurance/bonding, cash management, human resources, employee benefits, office administration. Prepared accrual basis financial statements at one company with projects valued at $175 million.
Successful manager helping companies find ways to reduce costs and increase profits using new procedures, better internal controls, and other processes to streamline operations and become more efficient. Excellent planning and organizational skills; helped reorganized divisional accounting departments implementing new processes and procedures at several branch locations in South Florida. In addition, I coordinated with Public Auditors (GAAP & SOX) for financial, job and operational audits.

EXPERIENCE
2007 - June 2010: Devcon (TCI) Ltd - CONTROLLER
Heavy equipment and marine construction (earthwork, site preparation, dredging) company operating throughout the Caribbean with Home Office located in Deerfield Beach, FL.
Responsible for all accounting, job cost and financial reporting with annual revenues estimated @ $12 million. Financial statements based on the Percentage of Completion & Completed Contract Method(s) of Accounting; monthly, quarterly and annual closings (including all tax filings). Other Job responsibilities included GL, AP, PO, AR, fixed assets, balance sheet, P&Ls, Payroll and tax returns, cash management, review of SG&A, employee accounts, prepaid & accrued expenses, notes payables, leases and all sub-ledgers balance to GL. Coordinated all year-end audits, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and other governmental agencies.
2000 - 2007: Daniel Electrical Contractors, Inc. -ACCOUNTING MANAGER/ CONTROLLER
One of South Florida's largest Electrical Contractors with locations in West Palm, Vero Beach, Naples and Miami. A NASDAQ public company originally listed on NYSE .
Responsible for all accounting functions at all branch offices, ensuring accuracy of reported data with annual revenues of $60 million, including accrued financial statements based on POC method of accounting as well as monthly, quarterly and annual reports and closings (including most tax reporting) along with job cost & billing process, job estimates & profit, GL, AP, AR, Payroll (and Tax), Fixed Assets, Inventory, PO, accrued and prepaids; managing accounting staff of 20 and coordinating with Public Auditors for GAAP/SOX & other governmental agencies for financial, job/operational audits along with year-end insurance - WC audits.
1997-1999: E-Market, Inc. - CONTROLLER (Shareholder)

Responsible for all accounting preparing accrued financial statements, including GL, AR, AP credit/collections, budget preparation, monthly closing of books, Payroll (and Tax filing), all federal and state tax reporting; developed accounting department, hired & trained staff. Negotiated contracts, including purchases orders, leases, insurance and other; also assisted with negotiations with line of credit and financing for IPO.
1990-1997: Pinnacle Enterprises, Inc. Miami Florida - Staff Accountant / Accounting Manager - Drywall Subcontractor annual revenues of $20 million during 1997.
