QualiTemps, Inc (March 2004 - Sept 2005)

Responsibilities:

Worked as a temporary employee for two different companies through this temp agency.

Companies included the World Council of Credit Unions and the State Bar of Wisconsin.

At both companies I was asked to work longer than the initial request and was hired by

the State Bar of Wisconsin.

State Bar of Wisconsin responsibilities included helping to develop and launch their

newly redesigned Web site, WisBar.org. This involved working with, and cleanup of, the

site s previous HTML content. In addition, content was categorized according to specific

categories, which were subject to redesign as time went by.

As time progressed, interaction with other groups within the organization, as well as with

external individuals was necessary to update old content and develop new content. Also

sent out and received feedback from internal and external user testing groups, which was

done primarily via email.

At the World Council of Credit Unions I worked for three days on completing a small

mailing of donation certificates (which I modified and printed), making phone inquiries,

and developing a filing system for marketing materials.

UW Green Bay: Office of Outreach and Extension (Sept 1999 - Dec 2003)

Responsibilities:

Responsible for registration of individuals for education courses being held through the

office. Included reading application for pertinent data, filling personal information into

registration software, as well as entering the individual into their course(s) and dealing

with payments at the appropriate time. Entry was done within Peopleware Pro, a database

program built off of the Visual FoxPro backbone. Individuals were contacted via phone

or email if any necessary information was missing.

Kept up-to-date on course registration numbers, often by email/phone contact, or entering

secure online databases.

Setup reports and queries within database programs so as to gain information regarding

the individuals within the database, specifically regarding the courses held, so that we

could determine where and what popular areas were, as well as where some of the

overlooked areas were. Databases included Microsoft Access as well as Peopleware Pro,

which, being a new program, required calls to tech support and heavy manual reading.

Added, updated, and helped setup, a mailing list stored within Microsoft Access. Also

exported data so that it could be used in Microsoft Word, primarily for mailings.

Photocopying, filing, and some phone backup were also required. Assisted in assembly of

informational packets, recording of course comments and evaluations, and other minor

office duties when necessary.

Helped setup an online registration system, proofread course information, troubleshoot

office computers, registrations and payments, and helped direct registrants questions.

Culvers (May 1997 - Sept 2002)

Responsibilities:

Worked in both the dining and kitchen areas. Dining involved assembly of orders and

cash register work. Kitchen involved assembly of food items, as well as some kitchen

preparation. Supervisor status beginning the Summer of 1999 involved management of

other employees, as well as closing activities such as money management and locking up

the premises.

MySQL and Microsoft SQL), Subversion, IIS 6.0+, Windows Server 2003+, and Apache HTTP

Server 2.x.

Past experience with Microsoft FrontPage and Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0.

I ve worked with HTML since around 1999, CSS since late 2003, and ColdFusion MX (6.1 and

7.x) since November 2005.

I also currently work with pre-existing ASP code, and am currently (since 2009) developing .NET

and ASP.NET skills, specifically in C#.

Working with various other languages in the past - Pascal, C++, JavaScript, PHP - has given me a

good ability to read and understand most currently-used computer languages.

I've also installed software to my own machine, and documented the procedure, to run a local

Web server (including Apache, PHP, ColdFusion, MySQL, and PostgreSQL). I currently use

Windows IIS 6 (using a hosted VPS service) for my own sites.

I'm particularly interested in development for the Web, and am interested in expanding my

knowledge of different technologies as much as I can. To this end, I spend a deal of my free time

researching or playing with various aspects of Web development, including keeping a 'blog' on

my site. I'm also concerned with the production of Web content that can be viewed in as many

environments as possible, with the least amount of upkeep necessary.

Developments I'm currently interested in include (ASP).NET C#, XML, HTML5, jQuery, new

functionalities in CSS, and the changing browser market.
