Reported on the environmental policy and state parks beat, which required spending many days at the Capitol to attend hearings, committee meetings and floor sessions. Began covering the beat after Arizona announced its plans to shut down 13 of its 22 state parks.
Also created short video packages for some articles and authored an enterprise/investigative piece about the difficulty in obtaining superintendents’ appraisals from 104 school districts in Arizona. Story featured in the Arizona Capitol Times
