Learned from my extremely talented parents, father is a furniture- and cabinet-maker, mother an upholsterer and sewer. I also learned from the many talented craftspeople that worked for them.

Creating and repairing furniture, restoration of antiques, finishes. Upholstery – Including knowledge of supplies and installation, proper and safe use of all tools in the trade of building furniture, as well as regular maintenance and minor repair of tools.
Sewing with all types of sewing machines, knowledge of proper stitching, threads, bobbins, etc.
Eight-way hand tied springs, installation of jute webbing, sagless webbing, zigzag springs. Special knots and stitches by hand are a specialty.
Hand-tufting (calculations, pattern-making), utilizing fabric, leather or vinyl, complete with hand-formed and tied buttons.
Application of all types of detailing: braids, gimp, trim, buttons, brads, tacks, buckles, etc., and proper use of adhesive for each.
Blueprint reading, adjusting scale, calculation of yardages of fabrics or square footage of hides and all measurements necessary for completion of work to be done.Tool & Equipment Care
