Research Assistant with Dr. Giuli Dussias in the Spanish, Italian, & Portuguese Department (Penn State University).
Responsible for extracting and coding data recovered in Spain and the U.S. and putting it into Excel for further analyzation in conjuction with a second part of the experiment. The data dealt with was trying to discern what type of syntactic element (specifically sentential complements or noun phrases) follows a given verb.

Research Assistant with Dr. Chip Gerfen in the Spanish, Italian, & Portuguese Department (Penn State University).
Responsible for recruiting and contacting participants, running experiments (using E-Prime, Excel, and various pieces of technological equipment), and analyzing data from ours and other experiments.

I am teaching a 10th grade homeschooler Italian 1. We meet weekly for lessons. I am responsible for creating lesson plans, activities, homework assignments, quizzes, and exams, as well as grading all of her work.

Skills:
Proficient in multiple computer programs, such as Word Processing and other database-related programs. Competent in E-Prime (program used in Linguistics research) and several different pieces of equipment used to collect and record audio and written data. Also trained to use various pieces of lab equipment, such as Spectrophotometer, titration analysis, dissolved oxygen meter and probe, autoclave, and alkalinity/ammonium meter and probe. Am a good problem-solver and analytical thinker, and enjoy helping others learn (i.e., teaching/tutoring).
Hobbies: Traveling, languages, photography, bilingualism, linguistics, softball, karate, marine biology and animals, reading, and playing piano and other unusual instruments.
