The store just received the award of Accident Free on Fiscal Year 2012.

On December 2011 the total sales plan was 10.5 negative versus target. Fiscal Year 2012 (end on August) final result was 5% negative.

HVAC CUSTOMER SUPPORT ENGINEER (April 2007 Feb 2009)

Performed engineering calculations and specified the correct size cooling unit needed for customer building cooling requirements using the Delphi HMX (Heat and Mass Exchanger). The HMX is a new indirect evaporative cooler design which uses the M cycle and is constructed from paper, plastic and glue. Performed field testing to insure HMX performance met the engineering specifications. Provided support to all USA west coast HMX customers.

Key achievements

Designed and built the performance validation test equipment for the HMX.

Designed and built a test machine, using Six Sigma and Engineering procedures. This machine was used in the HMX manufacturing process to insure all manufactured product would perform to engineering specifications in the field.

Delphi Electronic and Safety Matamoros, Mexico

PLANT ENGINEER (2006- March 2007)

Executed technical projects on time and within budget related with air conditioning, compressed air, exhaust and electrical systems for the plant.

Key achievements

Designed and supervised the installation of a $500,000 air conditioning system for the 22,500 square feet DELPHI Matamoros Regional Technical Center.

Designed and supervised the installation of $100,000 of equipment (Power generator, wiring system, automatic system control board, surge control system) for the computer backup system for the 90,000 square feet, 3,000 employee plant.

MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR (July 2003-2006)

Supervised 17 technicians to carry out the preventive maintenance plan on the plant support equipment which consisted of 4,000 tons of air conditioning, 4,000 CFM of compressed air, a gas exhaust system, and 10 forklift trucks.

Key achievements

100 % execution of the Monthly Preventive Maintenance Plan.

Improved a 700 CFM compressed air system for $7,000 dollars which avoided the purchase of a new system for $90,000.

Extended the change frequency of the Air Handlers Final Filters from one year to 18 months without loss of performance saving a total of $15,000/year.

Trained technicians to program the computer on the forklifts which saved $5,000/year.

HORIZONTES HOTELES, S.A La Habana, Cuba
