OVERVIEW
A highly skilled writer with more than a decade of experience writing for print and online publications, I
have excellent verbal and written communication skills. I have had experience in advertising, marketing and
sales, having created marketing proposals, written promotional materials such as advertising copy,
improved sales and helped organise marketing events. I have a flair for learning new technologies and have

My in-depth knowledge and experience writing about the digital publishing industry made me the

Assisted in the development of Worlds of Wonder, a weekly column about graphic novelists. Made
one of the section's columnists. I was a crucial addition to the team as I have in-depth knowledge of
Japanese graphic novels (called manga) and managed to contact and interview several high-profile
artists.
Developed a reputation for being able to find and interview personalities from all over the world. I

Developed a pullout in The Star on anime and manga called OtakuZone. As content co-ordinator, I
managed a team of writers, organised marketing activities and communicated with companies,
especially those based in Japan, to produce compelling articles. OtakuZone became one of the most
popular sections in The Star among the youth. Many readers wrote in to say that they make a point
to buy the newspaper when OtakuZone is published.
