REPRESENTATIVE PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS
Shands Teaching Hospitals and
Clinics, Florida - Project coordinator
for pre-acquisition environmental, health, safety, and limited
building condition assessment services for a regional health care
system. The subject properties included four acute care hospitals and
one psychiatric hospital, three MOBs, approximately four city blocks
of associated properties, and two clinics. Project manager for
subsequent project for the complete assessment and upgrade of
petroleum tank systems located at these facilities.
Daughter's of Charity, New York - Project manager for pre-acquisition
assessment of a regional health care system. Assessment services
provided included civil, structural, building condition, asbestos,
lead paint, ADA, roof, electrical, mechanical, IAQ, plumbing, lead-in
drinking water, silver recovery units, life-safety codes, radon, and
environmental (including Phase II).
ADT Automotive, Florida - Conducted environmental compliance audits at
six automotive auction centers in southern Florida as part of a
national portfolio. Auditing included all applicable local, state and
federal regulations. The goal on this project was to document internal
environmental management practices.
BellSouth Telecommunications, Tennessee - Project engineer for the
turnkey closure by removal of seven 10,000-gallon gasoline tanks at
various Service Operation Centers. Successfully used draft version of
a state Technical Guidance Document to acquire site specific soil
clean-up standards.
United States Postal Service, Tennessee - Project engineer for
multiple projects to maintain aging surface water management systems.
Scope included investigation of system configuration, and
characterization and disposal of special waste removed from the
systems.
GTE Mobilnet (Contel), Tennessee - Performed Phase I and II
environmental site assessments at over 20 sites, including remediation
activities necessitated by construction activities for multiple tower
location sites. Performed FCC requirements at selected sites.
Assessment activities included site surveys, environmental database
reviews, record searches, aerial photograph interpretations,
interviews, soil sampling, and report preparation. Activities also
included coordination with geotechnical explorations and other
architects and engineers
