Related Activities and Interests:

1.Partners in Education with Dommerich Elementary and Lake Sybelia Elementary provided the opportunity to participate in activities such as; Career Day, Field Day, judging an oration contest, providing food and refreshments for the PTA, and creating contest to promote reading skills

2.Ecology Club at Edgewater High School gave the chance to travel to local elementary and middle schools and teach classes of students about animals, without adult supervision. In this club I was responsible for leading my fellow students to the chosen school. I would lead the class discussions for the students, and was also charged with the welfare of all the students traveling with my group and for the safety of the students we were showing the animals to.

3.The Senior Project I chose to complete pertained to Multiple Intelligences and how they can be applied in the classroom. I was given permission by Maitland Middle School, as well as my sixth grade teacher, Mrs. Paroline, to come into the sixth grade science classroom and teach for two separate weeks. The first week I taught with standard teacher curriculum with no changes. The second week I tested the children and grouped and taught them according to their learning styles and with custom learning materials.

4.Received the Bright Futures Scholarship due to exceptional high school grades and performance.

Answer by cjvw622Chay, this is not set up like a resume. It is very wordy and difficult to read. I strongly advise you to use a professional resume service. I used one for educators. The woman sent me a long questionnaire and then she took the information and created a teacher*s resume for me. It cost about $ 200, but it was the best money I ever spent. Good luck.

I think you have the right idea for a resume but I think that the Additional Information section can be put into lesser words, and also remember that bulleted lists are a favorite for employers.

Also to help you shorten the additional information, instead of saying something like *I would play with cats and dogs* say *played with cats and dogs* This is because, in all actual reality, employers only spend about a minute and a half looking at a resume. Just set it up the way you did with the previous information, and I think you will be fine.

Also instead of making this yourself, I would suggest using a template off the internet, they*ll fancy it up for you and make it interesting to read.

It*s not bad, but it seems to highlight more of the non-educational experiences you*ve had (legal secretary, marketing cooridinator, etc) than the educational experiences. I would spend less time writing about that and spend more time elaborating on your profile. Where does this broad knowledge of philospohies come from What long lasting relationships have you created, and how is this going to help you as an elementary teacher

Honestly, your Objective seems to lack creativity and doesn*t invite me to read much more.

I would put your education before anything about your previous employment experience.

Some of your additional information looks like it could be used in a section entitled *Related Experience.* Make sure you make the information in this section less wordy.

Do you have any student teaching experience or internship experience related to teaching Most of your experience looks like it has been outside of education. Prospective school employers want to know more about your experience in the education field than about your experiences in fields outside of education. If you have any student teaching experience, be sure to include it!

Make sure that you use good formatting throughout your resume. I realize that you probably aren*t able to format your resume on here like you would in real life.

You have a good start, but you need to include more information about your experience working in the education field and your experiences with children since you are applying to be an elementary teacher.
