Manager, 2004-2006. Sold firearms and associated equipment and supplies. Monitored merchandise
and ordered replacement and special order items from suppliers. Received new merchandise
into the store inventory and entered firearms into the bound book. Recorded the transfer
of inventory to and from a sister store in San Antonio. Inventoried firearms and other
merchandise. Oversaw the receipt, repair, and return of firearms taken in for gunsmithing
and the storage of items in layaway. Packaged and shipped firearms and other merchandise
for transfer and warranty repair. Conducted NICS background checks and insured that
firearm sales met Federal requirements. Opened and closed the computerized Armsware
storefront and balanced the registers at the end of the day.Texas Catholic Boys Camp
Riflery Program Leader, 2004. Ran the camp rifle range during the 3 two-week summer sessions insuring a
safe experience for the campers, who were eight to fourteen year-old boys. Taught up to 24
campers at a time to safely and accurately shoot .22 rimfire rifles on the 50-foot range.
Supervised the camp counselors while they were on the range. Administered the riflery

Agent, 2002-2003. Quoted and sold insurance policies and interacted with clients to maintain
a large base of existing policies. Assisted other employees and agents in the transition
from a greenscreen AS-400 system to the Internet-based Farmers Dashboard system.United American Insurance
Independent Agent, 2002. As a licensed life and health insurance agent entered into a contract to
sell policies for United American Insurance.Research Dynamics, Inc.
Technical Writer, 1997-2001. Designed, wrote, edited and published user manuals, help files and other
contract documents for Air Force environmental databases. Proofread and edited company
documents written by others. Led the company website redesign team. Edited and published
the internal quarterly newsletter. Developed a template and wrote style procedures to
standardize MS Word document design. Used MS Access databases to write and assemble
software test plan procedures. Authored an MS Access database to track new programming
requirements. Aerotek, Inc.
Technical Contractor, 1997. Worked for Aerotek clients on a temporary contract basis. While working
for Research Dynamics, Inc. wrote software design documents, user manuals and help files
for seven related environmental database programs. After ten months RDI hired me as a
permanent employee.Hill Country Youth Ranch
Outreach Coordinator, 1989-1996. Wrote and desktop published a newsletter and other materials. Represented
the child care facility to the media and public and coordinated with local social service
agencies with an emphasis on children's agencies. Maintained 10,000-name donor database
and other computer records, and designed computer spreadsheets and databases for other
staff members. Participated in group meetings, operated the Ranch Computer Vocational
Education Center, and participated in daily activities involving the 65 formerly abused
children living at the Ranch.
Named a lifetime member of the Ranch in 1993.Hill Country Crisis Council
Outreach Coordinator, 1984-1989. Helped establish the first training course and provided rape crisis
instruction for each volunteer training course. Charter member of the Board of Directors
from 1984-1988. As a volunteer advocate, provided in-office and telephone rape
intervention and family violence counseling, and provided advocacy for clients. Spoke
before local groups about the HCCC, crisis intervention, sexual assault and family
violence. Became the paid Outreach Coordinator in April 1988. Coordinated an outreach
effort resulting in contracts with organizations in Fredericksburg and Boerne for

I have used Microsoft Word, first on Macintosh then IBM, since 1983. I
have worked with IBM systems including DOS, Windows 3.x, and Windows 95, 2000, and XP
since 1989, using Word, Pagemaker, RoboHelp, FrontPage, Arachnophilia, Excel, Access, and
Paint Shop Pro.

I have been an NRA basic firearms instructor since 1982. I am a Texas
Parks and Wildlife Department Hunter Education Master Instructor. I have been a Texas
Department of Public Safety Concealed Handgun Instructor since the program started in
1995. I have been a Becoming an Outdoors-Woman instructor, and currently teach Women on
Target classes. During military service I was an Infantry Basic Combat Training officer.Organizations
I am a life member of the National Rifle Association and the Texas State
Rifle Association. I am a charter member and a director of the Texas Concealed Handgun
Association. I have been a member of the Kerrville Buck and Bull Club since 1983.
