and Writing; and served as an on-staff substitute teacher. Provided innovated instruction for PE
program and started a daily early morning Jump Club. Created a monthly newsletter. Mentored
students and played in the school band. Selected to re-write district HPE curriculum. Team-
teacher; generated weekly student progress reports; and created a website to disseminate
information and homework assignments.
Newark Public Schools September 2009 to September 2010
Member of the team selected to write and update the NPS K-12 Health and Physical Education
Curriculum. My duties included building scope and sequence with writing team members and
then proofreading and compiling all the documents into one master document for submission.
Worked with colleagues, parents, guidance, attendance, and CST to support and aid student
success for over 100 students. Generated weekly student progress reports to promote
appropriate behavior and work completion. Assisted Girls Volleyball team practices, game
statistician, and coaching.
Upper Saddle River Schools August 2007 to July 2009
Job responsibilities included teaching Health and Physical Education to 220 students; writing
lesson plans, support materials, quizzes and study guides, providing classified students with
modifications per IEP direction; chaperoning school events; organizing Jump Rope For Heart
annual event and themed Field Day events. Developed an electronic grade book in Microsoft
Excel for Health and PE, and added new units to PE program. Penned a PE grant that was
funded by the Upper Saddle River Educational Foundation.

Was lead Physical Education teacher for most PE classes. Created units for Yoga, Pilates,
European Team Handball, Ultimate Frisbee, and Speedball for grades 4-8 and organized the
