Commercial Activities:
For the past 13 years, Dr.QI had been a consultant at Swedish Trade Council Beijing, Embassy of Sweden;
Young Professional at Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China; and Senior Adviser for Interrail Ag
Beijing Representative Office. He had a diversified working experience in different MNCs such as DHL,
DB Schenker, CMA and K-Line. He designed and relized CMA China-Black Sea service additional
calling Dalian port with weekly 0.6 million USD revenue increase. He involved in the first FDI project
approx 12 RMBbn porfolio by Chinese Ministry of Railway with six investors (inclusive of Deutsche
Bahn, CMA etc.) to construct and operate the 18 terminals in main Chinese cities; then, he involved in the
first China- Germany Trans-Se container block train from China to Hamburg, Germany. Dr.QI was
frequently participating in the international conferences and training programs in Europe and Asia.
Public Activities:
As a professional industry scholar, Dr. QI had published 14 articles on international shipping, marketing,
cross-culture business and corporate management. He organized international seminar at University of
Cambridge to build a bridge among industrial professionals and scholars. He was interviewed by
numerous Chinese media and foreign media. He was invited as a guest speaker in business conferences
and world top universities such as Cambridge University, UCL, Peking University, Sun Yat-Sen
University and Dalian Maritime University.
He is passionate to explore social contribution to the community and society not only for shipping &
logistics industry. On behalf of 42 millions population in Liaoning Province, in a capacity of an Executive
Director Member of the Council of Liaoning Overseas Exchange Association (a quasi-government
organization), he works to enhance the development of politics, economics and culture at a provincial
level. This is an important platform helping him to expand not only his overseas contacts but also an
extensive local networks over 31 provinces in China and the world.
