Primary Responsibilities
Data Conversion Developer - Design and develop system to extract existing TIFF images,
COLD documents and associated metadata from the IBM Content Management System. Research
the existing system to determine all metadata files needed for extraction and meaning
of the fields on the metadata files. Analyze metadata and images to determine the
existence of anomalies and develop a strategy for handling anomalies. Coordinate
and collaborate with external agency to develop a method for reconciling all images
and metadata.
START Project Developer - Assist in the design and development of the new pension
administration system. This includes the core bearing point pension administration
system as well as additional supporting applications such as Issue Tracker Site
and custom FileNet applications. Research new ideas and create a proof of concept
when necessary. Answer questions that come up in requirements and design sessions
either verbally or through additional research and programming. Learn all new technologies
being utilized in the START project.
Mainframe Developer - Design, development and maintenance of mainframe code. Develop and compile data to test programs. Test programs and verify results. Write specifications for the development, maintenance and modification of programs.
Communication - Analyze user requests and work with users to develop or modify existing programs. Conduct training and presentation sessions. Correspond with outside agencies. Coordinate and integrate the work of other programmers.

Image Extraction System (VB.NET, SQL) - System to extract, filter, log and reconcile
TIFF images and COLD documents during conversion (images are converted from IBM Content Manager to FileNet).
Issue Tracker ASP.NET Integration with TFS (VB.NET) - Web service that integrates the ASP.NET issue tracker website with Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
iSeriesDOC (VB.NET) Retrieves and formats iSeries spooled files into a Microsoft Word document.
Screen Pop Solution (COBOL, VB script) Integrates the Avaya call center software with the iSeries.
Data Cleansing Auditing System (COBOL) Allows users to track and update the status of errors.
Extensible Authentication Library (C#.NET, C++.NET) Custom authentication library

Report Generator (VBA) Retrieves multiple reports from the iSeries IFS and merges them into a word doc.

Projects, Application Developer The $22 million dollar Start Project is a comprehensive conversion from the current legacy system to new hardware and software. Responsible for extending the capabilities of the new software and creating new applications.
Correspondence Project, Membership team leader Responsible for retrieving, converting, analyzing and cataloging all documents produced by the iSeries. Responsible for coordinating membership resources.
Data Cleansing Project, System Development Developed custom data cleansing auditing system for auditing database files and tracking the status of data errors. Presented system to management for approval. Conducted training sessions for the system.
Data Conversion Project, Extraction Lead Developer - Developed several programs to extract over 13,000,000 images to an encrypted external hard drive. Created custom SQL tables in SQL server 2005 as well as SQL statements to filter images, log any changes to metadata and reconcile converted images.
