Recent Activity
While working on my Master s at Interaction Ivrea (2002 - 2004), I explored a range of interaction
strategies, situations and contexts including spatial, physical, wearable, service-oriented and cross-
media possibilities to connect humans to technology in meaningful and unexpected ways. I devel-
oped and experience prototyped a brain-scanning security and neuromarketing service (Acclair), an
in-car service for the motorist stopped in traf c (Hitch) and a large-scale roadway system that links
realtime automobile fatality data to a sublime ambient display (AutoGrill Monument).

Interaction Design Internship with Orange Telecom
Teamed with Anthony Mace from the Royal College of Art Interaction
Design program to prototype a knowledge sharing service for teachers,
researchers and educational institutions using limited metadata (people,
time, place, thing) to cross-reference and link relevant information.

Flash Motion Graphics & Interaction Design (contract)
Collaborated with art directors and copywriters to create ash-based inter-
net advertisements for Visa s 2002 Winter Olympics and the Veri ed by Visa
campaigns; constructed interactive ash Eyeblaster advertisements for
nytimes.com and usatoday.com.

Working with found couch materials: foam rubber, canvass, latex adhesive,
this show culminated a series of explorations into the abject attraction
of stained materials. I reformed this material into a accid cannon, a curd
trap and Ass Magic : a found couch cushion painting of stainwork .

Again Interactive Spatial Installation
The neverending frustration of the never resolving: an endless video of a
performer off-screen slamming a canvass dummy against the wall. Sur-
prising outcome of this piece was that most viewers reacted with empathy
toward the dummy and would rather hug it than slam it.

Critique of the blandness of the corporate world using found and stolen
footage from my days working for a major strategic consulting rm in
downtown San Francisco, this 6 minute video loop combines the slow
montage of executive handshakes, aerial pans of suburbs, tract housing
and unspeci c landsat geographies.
