Change Management & Leadership: Ocean Properties, Ltd. - Improved the performance of the south Florida based properties, a former Marriott Brand. Boosted guest satisfaction from 69.8% to 88.9% over a 4 week period. Recently consulted to the Westin Key West Resort.

Project Management: Revpar International - Turned around a conference center owned by the AFL - CIO that had lost $2M during the year. Generated $1.5M in sales in just 3 months and stemmed member losses.

Strategy Planning: Meyer Jabara Hotels - Served as General Manager of this 122 room hotel. Developed and executed new management model, improved transient and group sales by 5%, improved service, implemented revenue management strategy and developed capital expenditure plan for 1-3 years.

General Manager - Crystal City Marriott, Arlington, VA (2001 - 2008)

Managed a 343 room hotel with a staff of 25 managers and 225 employees and an annual budget of $23M. Headed up capital expenditure planning of $3M and a guestroom renovation project of $10M. Performed due diligence for Marriott International and additional hotels.

Leadership: Earned #1 in Employee Engagement in mid-Atlantic region (89%), achieved 82% guest satisfaction (up from 55%), and 55% house profitability with a cash flow of $6.2M.

Marketing & Innovation: Monitored market trends post 911 in order to maximize revenue opportunities and enable hotel to operate at a high level of profitability despite severe economic downturn.

Business/Functional Results: Primed central laundry to become #1 in mid-Atlantic region and reduced linen costs on 1M pounds of laundry.

Hotel Manager - Crystal Gateway Marriott, Arlington, VA (1997 - 2001)

Oversaw this convention hotel with 694 rooms, a management team of 30 with 300 indirect reports and an annual budget of $45M. Coordinated large association events and award ceremonies of up to 1000 attendees. Executed sales strategy and led management team to hit corporate goals.

Business/Functional Results: Improved profit margin from 40% to 55%.

Marketing: Positioned the hotel for larger association events, greater revenue and improved its ranking from #3 to #2 in Marriott Guest Satisfaction globally.
