Senior IT Infrastructure Project Manager

Collaborative Teaming / Project Leadership / IT Facilities Project Management/ Results Orientation Negotiations / Budgets /Manage Expectations

My achievements as a Senior IT Infrastructure Facilities Project Manager are attributed to a deep rooted ability to work with a wide diversified group of people along with my polished skills in IT Infrastructure Management. I consistently deliver project results through clear communications, deeply understanding the issues and motivations and, keeping the project management process simple by using only tools and processes that are absolutely required to keep work organized and the project moving forward.

I am a talented, passionate, effect leader that delivers real results through applied knowledge:

Guide management in creating/ documenting the requirements and SOW

Engage with the technical teams to establish the Architecture through the Support Model

Create/Manage detail plans, budget, schedule, risks and outcomes

Expert in turning Red Project to Green

I have successfully managed projects for extremely fast growing start-ups businesses with a five person project team to projects for large fortune 500 companies with 50 people on a team and budget in the tens of millions of dollars. My project responsibilities have included: Moving the entire Corporate IT Infrastructures, Data Center Moves, Department Moves, Oracle Failover, Telephone System Installations, Data Loss Prevention, Nationwide WAN Network, Call Centers, Data Masking, IT Budget Management etc.

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Planned and led IT Infrastructure Facility Corporate Relocation: It was critical to business operation that the IT Infrastructure Facilities were completely moved and fully operational over a 3 day weekend. The organizations 1500 people had to be fully operational by Tuesday, 8:00am! The project had to have a solid plan that would ensure all facilities would be built, installed and tested to meet the deadline. Data Networking, Transmission Lines (WAN), Telephone Services 1500 Desktops had to be wired and ready. One of the key success factors was making sure the Newly Built/Design Data Center was fully functional (Servers, Data Network, Telephone System, UPS, Generator, Cooling, Wiring). All facilities were Fully Operational as planned.

Bought clear objectives and direction to a Project that was stalled. The requirements had changed and the management team was still referring to an out dated State of Work and some members of the team were even thinking the project was complete

I presented this information to the IT Management Team outlining the issues and a draft of a new statement of work. I started weekly half hour project status meetings, identified risks, worked with the team to create a work break down structure and re-base lined the project schedule. This resulted in keeping the team focused and on task which led to a very successful outcome.

Organization and Relationship skills pay-off I joined a fast growing medium size company where it was critical that the IT Infrastructure have zero down time. When I arrived, down time in the emergency center was consistent at one or two outages a month. I worked closely with the IT Infrastructure Team interviewing them and recorded their ideas. I formed a Project Team consisting of IT Technical People and Management. I created a documented approach, Work Break down Structure, prioritized action item list and established weekly status meetings. Within a relatively short time period the changes were in places and the emergency center was on operationally on tract and eventually achieved zero down time for well over a year.
