- for a global methanol manufacturer/distributor. Responsible
for gathering requirements for the automation of this process manufacturers supply chain
requirements within the North American region, including marketing, sales and
distribution, and railcar tracking and management. Transportation (truck, vessel, barge,
and rail) were an important part of this effort. Global supply chain management, including
supply sourcing, demand forecasting, demand recognition, and distribution resource
planning, were integral parts of the recommendations made to the customer to augment their
current operational endeavors. Developed the RFP and managed the response and vendor
evaluation process through to package selection. Assisted with the request for funding and
the overall project justification. Recommended a target environment including Windows NT
Server 4.0, Oracle and NT Workstation/Windows95.

- for a Telecommunications Company. Assisted with the installation and
customization of Oracle Financials 10.6 on a SunServer 1000 running UNIX and Oracle 7.1.
Generation of functional test plans for Oracle Financials and integration of the
organizations functional requirements into that plan. Established the interfaces, both
internal and external, to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Project
Accounting, and Purchasing, including all interface documentation, procedures, and
SQL*Loader control functions. Communicated with outside system vendors in building

- for a major US Railroad company located in Ft. Worth.
Responsible for the Joint Application Design effort for a Property Management application.
The system, which cost $3 million to develop, will save the railroad $15 million in the
first year of operation as well as providing some $10 million in additional revenue. The
development environment was client/server using Novell, Sybase NLM as the DB server and MS
Windows (PowerBuilder) as the client. The application is tightly coupled with the Amdahl
host legacy systems. This project was responsible for re-writing the host's front-end for
the billing system as well as interfacing to other IMS and DB2 data structures for edit,
validation and information integration. The project used a Joint Application Design
approach for requirements and SDM/70 for project implementation. Staff of 13 people.
Consultant/Project Manager
- for a major Resort and Fitness client. Project involved
multiple marketing, prospecting and operational club functions for 180+ sites. A Joint
Application Design (JAD) approach was employed to develop the client's requirements,
functional designs, process and data models, and prototypes. The system's target was a
client/server environment using OS/2 2.0, GUIs, Novell and Microsoft SQL Server.
Consultant, Software Litigation Support - for a major US Railroad. Supported litigation,
arbitration, intellectual property rights and settlement activities on software products
that were under dispute. Researched records, activities, people and events in order to
build clear and concise chronologies of events and the files required to support
arbitration and litigation activities. Provided detailed analyses of project undertakings,
technical events and hardware/software related issues. Assisted in the acquisition of
expert witnesses in various specialty areas and the deposition of witnesses. Provided the
necessary relationship to bring the parties together to settle outstanding issues without

Director of Product Development - for a major US Railroad. Responsible for; product
development/maintenance, research, customer support, product delivery, and support of
marketing and sales efforts. New product development encompassed a client/server paradigm
using X-Windows Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs - MOTIF or OpenLook), UNIX, Object
Oriented Design (Booch) and Programming (C and the use of CASE tools. AI tools are
also used. The primary technical goals of this On-line Transaction Processing product are
ease of use, customization, portability, interoperability, and rapid deployment. Supported
the installation and implementation of that product in the initial customer environment.
Product consisted of a warehouse automation control system managing all aspects of the
warehouse from advanced shipping notices (receiving) through transportation planning and
execution, including picking, prepping, packing, control of mini-loaders, AS/RS,
