A $3 Billion plus industry leading manufacturer and distributor of greeting cards, gifts

and services.

Human Resources Manager

(2008-2009)

Managed and participated in planning, developing, recommending and implementing human

resource activities, policies, and procedures for the Lean Manufacturing, Planning and

Execution Division. Managed one Human Resources Specialist.

Developed a printing strategy enabling the delivery of training materials to 2000+

employees throughout corporate headquarters, subsidiaries, and international offices.

Attained a budget savings of $10,000 while reproduction time for printing and assembly of

materials were often under 8 hours. Allowed trainers additional time for the development

of class curriculum.

Developed and implemented a training core curriculum for the management team and group

leaders which provided education and the development of an understanding of Lean

philosophy, human resource policies and practices.

Developed workforce analysis plans for the division's non-exempt work group. Utilized the

plans by providing consultative expertise in the development of strategic and long-term

staffing plans during workforce reduction.

increased flexible staffing while positioning for future reduction of job grades.

- Reproduction and Large Die Cut (2002-2006)

Drove, delivered and implemented financial, productivity and labor targets. Directly

managed six supervisors with labor responsibility for up to 100 full-time and part-time

contributors. Budget responsibility of approximately $4.8 million over eight different

departmental processes.

Five percent improvement in productivity at critical workstation while implementing new

equipment start-up procedures and facilitating equipment moves.

Developed cross-training initiatives and staffing strategies in critical work areas

ensuring equipment coverage for vacation and absenteeism during peak production volumes.

Purposefully managed performance issues, resulting in reduced quality discards, improved

performance execution and reliable customer services.

Human Resources Manager

- Leavenworth (1997-2002)

Oversaw employment, employee relations, and management development for facility of

approximately 900 plus employees. Reporting staff of three human resources professionals.

Led initiative to drastically reduce the number of excess Leavenworth employees with

placement into ongoing positions. Transitioned Kansas City employees into remaining open

positions while maintaining employee morale within the Leavenworth facility.

Developed and implemented Diversity Awareness Programs for the Leavenworth plant and

management staff. Program provided educational opportunities about culture and business

which created a more inclusive work environment.
