SUMMARY OF WORK EXPERIENCE
W ith a Masters degree in Systems Engineering, an MBA and BS degree in Industrial Engineering and over 25
years of professional experience, I am looking for my next, challenging project. My experience is about equally
divided between aerospace and nuclear energy industries. I have a progressive performance history, of individual
contributions and supervision, as well as progressive project team and project scope size, leading to the success
of key projects at Boeing, Lockheed-Martin, Raytheon Aircraft, Curtiss-Wright, Bechtel and Department of Energy,
working as Principal Systems Engineer, Value Engineer and Lean Six-Sigma and Project Management
consultant. I ve contributed to proposals; cost reduction and value engineering, product development,
requirements engineering, project management, development and modifications for aircraft and missiles, nuclear
facility maintenance and operations. I also have experience in supplier operations working with company vendors
to assess production readiness and working with troubled suppliers to improve quality, reliability and delivery
performance. I am an expert in data analysis drawing data from companies MRP systems using advanced
techniques with MS Excel and MS Access (2007-2010) and MS SQL Server.
An example of profit and savings I have generated are from implementing a Value Engineering Program resulting
in $6.4M cost savings at Raytheon Aircraft, Montek division in first year of implementation and the win of a $300M
5-year long term business agreement for production of primary and secondary flight control systems on the
Boeing 700 Series aircraft. Over the course of my career my lean-six sigma and value engineering efforts
resulted in an estimated savings of $64.5M. I was also the division s Design To Cost (DTC) program manager
assigned to develop and manages the division s DTC program. I have also worked as a principal systems
engineer on various aerospace development programs such as Boeing s 787 airplane development program and
development of the Integrated Mission Management Computer (IMMC) for Northrop-Grumman s Broad Area
Maritime Surveillance UAV.
I have served as Lead or Principal Systems Engineer" for requirements management teams on various product
development programs in both the Aerospace and Nuclear Industries which require rigorous requirements
identification and flow down and verification and validation. I am familiar with FAA Certification requirements
including ARP4754, ARP4761,14 CFR 25.1301 and 1309, DO-178 and DO-254 requirements, processes and
procedures for requirements flow down, verification and validation and test plan development. I am also trained
and skilled in various systems engineering requirements tools including DOORs, SLATE, Rational Rose and other
UML Object Oriented software that are used to facilitate systems engineering and management.
