Chris has proven her ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously. She has experience in

program to the state of Florida. While the funding lasted, I supervised one
employee and worked with the appropriate staff of six different counties.
While Director of the Child Care WAGES Florida Program, I was also part
of the Technical Assistance and Training Team and offered workshops
and consulting services to Family Child Care providers, support staff and
local early learning coalition members and staff across the state.

This was a three and a half million dollar annual project to raise the level
of quality in child care program in our state concentrating on mini-grants,
resource vans, accreditation and on-site visits. We had 26 local Resource
and Referral Coordinators with whom I worked. I was responsible for
policies, procedures and guidelines for this statewide initiative which
promoted recruitment, retention and development of quality child care
programs throughout Florida, specifically family child care programs.

I coordinated our Toy Lending Library Program and conducted state
assessments for family child care providers participating in the Subsidized
Program (approximately 18 providers). Additionally, I acted as the agency
liaison with our local and state family child care associations. I was also
responsible for offering training and technical assistance for local family
child care providers (approximately 600 providers) as needed.

I owned and operated a voluntarily licensed and NAFCC Accredited family
child care facility. I participated in the Adults and Child Care Food
Program as well as the Child Subsidy Program. Within just eighteen
months of starting the business, I received my CDA and my NAFCC
Accreditation.

After I graduated from college in 1981 I went to work as a secretary in a
hospital and worked my way up to office manager in an ophthalmologist
office by 1990. In 1990, due to personal reasons, I began my career in
the early care and education profession. While I had no idea at the time
that it would be a permanent shift my career, I have never looked back.

NAFCC Accreditation Observer Training: 16 hours
