Personal Statement (please indicate why you would like to be in this position and why you

I have always had a tremendous amount of interest in the international aspects of our
organization. With my recent experience as the Olympic International Vice President and
International Relations Committee Chair, I believe I have an understanding of our
international policies and programs and look forward to assisting the organization in the
next quad. In this quad, I served as the Vice President Olympic International and
Committee Chair until Board restructuring forced me to resign in Feb 2011. In the absence
of a Vice President from Feb Sept 2011, I continued to serve as the International
Relations Committee Chair upon the request of the Board of Directors. In Sept 2011, I was
selected by the newly elected Vice President to continue the work of the IR committee as
chair. Understanding and implementing our international policies and programs takes
experience and time. I am truly dedicated to this area of our sport and wish to continue to
serve the organization by being a member of the International Relations Committee.
