Key Academic Projects:
* Designed & Packaged 4SP DICOR engine & its accessories for
Army & Non-Army application LBPV (Light Bullet Proof
Vehicle):
> The project entailed the packaging of engine & its
accessories in existing SUMO CAB (armored) & design of
efficient cooling system and air intake system in a very
critical and confined space, starting with the army's
requirement of Power-to-weight ratio, ability to start at
ambient of -30 0C and various other requirements, the
design was successfully done and released for production,
thereby increasing company's revenue in army sector. A
totally new Air Cleaner was selected, VGT was implemented,
Exhaust manifold, Air intake elbow, Exhaust elbow,
Crankcase ventilation were designed as per the required
designed parameters. Noise reduction materials were
implemented on the Cylinder head, Cylinder head cover, TGH
cover, Oil sump and a great reduction in Noise was also
observed. Grid heater and adaptor was also packaged in a
very innovative way to achieve cold start at -25degC at
Leh, Ladakh.
* Designed & Packaged 4SP DICOR engine & its accessories for
LSV (Light Specialist Vehicle-Army application):
> The project entailed the design of efficient cooling system and
air intake system, starting with the army's requirement of
Power-to-weight ratio, ability to start at ambient of -25 0C,
to be able to work in high altitudes (17000 ft.) such as those
of Leh & in hot conditions like Suratgarh & Bikaner and various
other requirements
* Designed & Packaged 4SP DICOR engine & its accessories for
RUSSIA LHD SFC 410- The project involved designing of
Exhaust manifold, Oil return line for TC, Exhaust elbow, Air
intake elbow, design of Grid heater adaptors for cold start
at -40degC, VGT packaging, Designing of cooling system,
finalization of Air Cleaner.
* Designed & Packaged EGR Cooler & EGR Valve for Y1-BSIV & SFC
410 DICOR engine -
> The coolant flow rate, pressure drop, packaging constraints
and heat dissipation by the EGR cooler + valve is studied
and the packaging & plumbing of EGR & EGR tubes is done.
