2001: (1) Worked with a team of four to design a $125 million satellite proposal for the Geostationary

Observatory for Tropospheric Air Chemistry (GeoTRACE). (2) Researched the interplay of science

and politics of NASA through interviews with employees across the Center and the Agency.

2000: Modelled the Hyper-X (X-43) airplane, the first plane to fly speeds above Mach 5, using

Computational Fluid Dynamics.

1999: Researched the Martian dust cycle to help select an appropriate time and location for the flight of

the Mars Airplane. Conducted thermal and strain testing of piezo-ceramic actuators.
