Business Systems Analyst

Team member of PDM Engineering Systems

- "A center for innovative development by small, integrated teams of

experts I am the prime contact and focal point for the PL2000

batch production environment on the and Monet3, Orion3 Dec Alpha Clusters. (VMS

platform). My responsibilities include, but are not limited to

Monitor and perform daily audits of the Oracle

RDB based PL2000 online and batch system. Develop, coordinate and recover

online/batch production failures around the clock. Provide superior customer

service by performing recovery activities from home via a personal computer. I

monitor and coordinate software migration to production on the Gypsy, Nomad

& Orion, Monet Alpha s. All production upgrades are coordinated with CM

and the DBA s that are responsible for each instance. I am responsible for

running, modifying, monitoring and recovering all test cycles.

I direct the application of and compliance with

established software development procedures to insure quality computing services

provided to the users.

Lead analyst on the first phase of the single repository for Vil (Verified

Item List) data on Alpha Orion2 for PL2000.

Led the technical team on the SpamII Project (Seattle to Philly Application

Migration) Moving the CASA test environment from one platform Lpar (PCBS)

to another (PGPS)

Led the technical team on the Spam Project (Seattle to Philly Application

Migration). This entailed moving the CASA production environment from one

platform Lpar (PCBS) to another (PGPS)

Support conversion of B2 from the APL parts lists online system to CASA

parts lists Ims/dc on the SMV2 IBM platform. Worked grave yard to trouble

shoot conversion problems and install batch processing.

Production focal point for CASA (Configuration Accountability Systems Aerospace)

on 3 platforms Pcbs - Aerospace, Smv2 - Military Airplane & Pgps -

Helicopter. I monitored and performed daily audits of Large scale Ims/dc

online and batch systems. Duties included develop, coordinate and recover

online/batch production failures.

Led the implementation and streamline of batch application of microfilm

processing for multiple programs using CASA on platforms SMV2 & PCBS.

Lead analyst on the conversion of CASA software tools from the easylog

environment to Endevor. Provided training and consultation to fellow analyst

on Endevor

Served as the Team Leader on the conversion and implementation of cobol

to cobol II modules. Developed and implemented the plans and schedule to

convert, test & install over 300 modules.

Senior Programmer Analyst

Lead analyst on Accounts Payable application. Led technical team on Installation

and maintenance of online invoice processing package to accounts payable.

First Analyst in Nordstrom history to balance Accounts Payable to the General

Ledger.

Lead analyst on the installation and maintenance of the Account-a-call

phone tracking system for security purposes. This package prevented fraudulent

phone calls from cycling thru the Nordstrom phone network. I trained users

and developed user manuals.

Participated in the functional design, detail design, programming and

testing of the CICS/IMS Vendor maintenance system.

Participated in the functional design, detail design, programming and testing

of the CICS/IMS Invoice processing system.

Participated in the Automation of all Nordstrom Distribution Centers. Coded

and tested 50% of all application programs used to automate payment of

freight bills and tracking of merchandise after off load of trucks. This

enabled Nordstrom to successfully downsized Distribution Centers.

Participated in the redesign and implementation of the Purchase Order Maintenance

system. in a CICS/IMS environment.Oncall 24/7 for all stated projects.
