Audit & Financial Advisory Sector - Financial Institutions Unit - Louisville Office

* Hired as external auditor for all sizes, types, & regulated financial institutions by international CPA firm.

* Held responsible for completing auditing objectives and work-papers throughout all stages of my offices

o All-encompassing, annual audits of our large # of publicly regulated SEC clients year-end (10-k`s)

o Personally asked by Sr. Partner to join this elite group that was responsible for auditing the security

o Approached by tenured accounting professor to work on prolonged research paper focused on auditing.

o Aided professor by compiling quantitative research on companies by reviewing their SEC filings.

o My research helped him determine the strength of the correlation between companies with going

concern clauses added to their audit opinions with the aptness of them to go bankrupt, ultimately in an

effort to determine the value-added by auditors when they make the judgment call to add this clause.

o I was given carte blanche by my Instructor, & took the project completely under my wing, which very

deliverable to my Instructor, a body of work that I would like to possibly use towards my dissertation.

o The thesis of the paper was concerned with dissecting the seemingly contradictory & at odds with one

another Accounting & Managerial Philosophies & associated costing methodologies of Activity-Based

Costing & the Theory of Constraints, in essence to unravel if they truly could compliment one another.

o While I probably spent the equivalent of what would have typically earned me 12 hours producing a

100 + paper in the form of a dissertation for a mere 3 hours of credit, the exposure and experience I

gained as a 1st year`s Masters Student was invaluable, causing me to develop a passion for research.
