Computer Lab (including Adaptive Technology Center), Reserves, Multimedia Classrooms,

Interlibrary Loan, Publications and Science Library. Provide vision and leadership in the areas of

Bibliographic Instruction, Access to New Technology, and Consortia Relationships. Assist in the

coordination of the Thomas Cooper Society through events planning and donor cultivation. Oversee

Administer all Public Services of the University Libraries, i.e., Cudahy Library Reference and

Circulation, Lewis Towers Library, and Audiovisual Services. Provide vision and leadership in the

areas of Library Instruction, access to new technology (CD ROM, mainframe databases, electronic

mail, telefaxcimile, full text products), Intercampus Document Delivery, and Library Public Relations.

Oversee directly department heads in the Cudahy Library, all operations of the Lewis Towers Library,

and the University-wide Audiovisual Services Department. Staff include 14 professional librarians

and 25 staff positions.

Head, Circulation Department, November 1985-December 1988, with the rank of Assistant Professor.

Managed all units of Main Library Circulation Department including Library Telephone Center which

received over 100,000 calls per year, Library for Disability Services, 300,000 volume Library Book

Depository, Interlibrary Loan, Intercampus Loan, Main Library Security Patrol and Sanction Office

which accepted over $120,000 in overdue and lost book fees annually.

Coordinator of Graduate User Education, 1983-85.

Created and was responsible for Graduate Library Instruction program, managed the Graduate Library

Reference Department Graduate Assistant Program (twelve graduate students who worked at the

reference and catalog information desks), functioned as program assistant and created RLIN training

materials for the Humanistic Scholar Project, a $200,000 grant project.
