Hand Held Video Team Leader

Aid Team Chief in teaching Hand Held Video (HHV) skills to local hires such as basic camera operation, camera techniques in the field, fuel point procedures, radio etiquette, equipment familiarity, in addition how to interact and function within a military environment.

Manage and facilitate a team of five to eight people. Responsible for equipment issued to team: camera, camera accessories, vehicles, radio, GPS tracking equipment. Checks on team throughout the training day to ensure that team members are meeting client expectations. Requires navigational skills and professionalism at all times to learn training area and how to navigate terrain without disrupting Army Guard training.

Fully trained on all equipment and able to operate camera in the field when needed. Act as backup for when emergencies or changes in schedule occur.

Shoot incidental projects as needed. (i.e. hero video: footage for end of training montage for soldiers' morale.)

Able to perform Team Chief duties when needed: backup footage, scheduling for an entire section, troubleshooting, attend briefings.

Developed and implemented the battalion schools spread sheet tracker (excel) that was adopted by the brigade as the new Standard Operation Procedure (SOP). Supervised and mentored 12 company schools Non-Commission Officers (NCOs) on the policies and SOPs resulting in a 50 percent increase of Soldiers to attend professional development courses. Maintained accountability of all assigned equipment valued in excess of $30,000.

Platoon Sergeant:

Responsible for the training, professional development, fitness, and welfare of 40 Soldiers. Coordinated maintenance for 13 vehicles and assigned equipment valued at $5,500,000. Provided tactical and technical guidance to subordinates and professional support to Junior and senior grade personnel in the accomplishment of their assigned tasks.
