Experience

CONSULTANT / SALES, HOMESTEAD NUTRITION INC. - 2002-2007This was my first job after graduating college, and it taught me foundational people and communication skills to compliment my agricultural education. In this position I consulted dairy farmers throughout three different counties in southeastern Pennsylvania on soil, crop, and animal health. I gained a great knowledge of both organic and conventional products and generated approximately $2,000,000 in annual gross sales.

PROJECT MANAGER ENTERPRISE FARM, NEW HOPE UGANDA- 2008-PRESENTIn this position, I have initiated and led the sustainable development of a 150-acre polyculture farm in Uganda. We strive for sustainability through no-till, heavy mulching, and crop rotation. Our vegetable garden is fertilized by the manure from our dairy cows, and vegetable scraps are fed to fish in four different ponds. I also oversee the farms citrus orchard and piggery. Depending upon the season and activities of the farm, I have supervised anywhere from 25-45 employees at a time. Under my management, the farm has increased its revenue by over 10-fold.

PART OWNER CO-FOUNDER PRECISION DIAGNOSTICS, LLC - 2006-PRESENTI was personally involved in all major steps of beginning this company, which provides a patented bovine pregnancy blood test (BIOPRYN), along with other bovine reproductive services and educational opportunities. Since its inception, Precision Diagnostics customer base has grown to represent 40 states. As one of the owners, I currently hold an advisory role.

SENTINEL OAK VINEYARD 2006-PRESENT

Through my experience helping with my father-in-laws private vineyard, I understand the entire wine making process. I have assisted him in the many steps necessary to transform grapes into international award-winning wine.

VIDEOGRAPHER GRAPHIC ARTIST, FREE LANCE 2003-PRESENT I have produced, shot, and edited media projects for venues ranging from weddings to a large international conference. I have also created multiple promotional videos for a Rawlinsville Camp and New Hope Uganda. I have designed several working logos for small businesses and wine labels for a private vineyard.
