Accomplishments

Training:

(We created a National Model called Rapid Exit Housing First where we cold called landlords who would rent to our homeless families whom had barriers which prevented them from being accepted into housing on their on calls and we advocated to the landlord to give them another chance and stated that we would case manage them durring their tenancy for 6 months. In addition, we agreed to lower the landlords risk by agreeing to pay the eviction cost if things when bad.)

If you look on the National Alliance to End Homelessness you'll find the organization I worked for 18 years St. Stephen's there.

[Contributed towards creating RentWise with the University of Minnesota Housing Department which is a Tenant Education Curriculum which educates tenants on how to be a great tenant and know your rights and landlord responsibilities.

Research:

I would research materials to share with our participants whom were seeking employment, empowerment, and housing. Sharing with them how to change their past into a positive future.

Teaching:

We shared with social workers and participants how to obtain housing, what landlords looked for in a tenant, and whom to target as a landlord if your client has multiple barriers.
