Regional Campus Dean, University of South Carolina Salkehatchie Regional

2000 to

Present: Campus. Chief operations officer responsible for the entire operation of the

Salkehatchie Campus which consists of two campus sites located in Allendale and

Walterboro. Duties include budgeting, planning, management, fund raising and

supervision of seventy-five employees. Also serve as institutional representative at

USC system-wide meetings and events.

Director and Associate Dean, University of South Carolina Salkehatchie,

1991 to 2000:

Walterboro. Responsible for the entire operation of the campus. Also responsible

for fund raising activities on both Allendale and Walterboro Campuses. Raised

over two million dollars for institution during Capital Campaign.

Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and Student Services,

1988 to 1991:

Charleston Southern University, Charleston, for all operational aspects of academic

affairs including course scheduling and monitoring academic and student service

budgets. Served as chairperson of the Graduate Council. Assisted in supervising

sixteen academic departments. Represented student services division on President s

Cabinet. Also appointed by the President as a spokesperson for the college.

Dean of Students, Charleston Southern University. Senior level position.

1986 to 1988:

Responsibilities included supervising the following: housing and residence life,

campus security, health services, student activities, campus ministries, student

publication, food services, and student discipline.

Director of Counseling Center, Charleston Southern University. Responsible for

1984 to 1986:

entire operation of counseling facility which, included clinical counseling, career

planning and placement services. Prepared budget, selected and trained counseling

staff and support personnel.

1980 to 1984: Associate Director of Counseling Center, Charleston Southern University.

Participated in selection and training of counseling staff and support personnel.

Coordinated placement services, planned and implemented residence hall life

programs, coordinated new student orientation. Developed career library and

expanded counseling office to include a comprehensive career-counseling center.

Dean of Students, Judson College, Marion, Alabama. Reported directly to the

1979 to 1980:

President of the college. Responsibilities included planning and directing student

development services: student activities, housing, counseling. Also responsible for

student discipline. Participated in the development of college policies.

assistants, coordinated disciplinary process and student housing.
