Personal Statement
Experienced store manager, I have been a store manager for over 6 years with 3 different companies, in 3 different kinds of retail. I have been in retail management for almost 10 years over all. My experience includes writing schedules for up to 70 employees, setting sales goals and following up on those goals, monitoring and addressing employee performance, hiring, overseeing and doing floor sets or planograms, managing incoming donations or freight, addressing customer and employee issues and resolving them, ordering supplies, putting in work orders, meeting production goals, training and developing associates, managing a P & L, and anything else involved in running a store on a day to day basis. I have worked in 3 distinct kinds of retail and have managed stores as low as $1 million dollars to as large as $11.5 million dollars. While at Ross I went from a part time stock lead to a store manager in a 2 year span. I have been successful and every job I have worked at, improving the stores numbers and success by the time I moved on to my next job or my next position in the company. I am very hard working and I am extremely driven to succeed. I believe in leading by example and always keeping a sense of calm even when things don`t go as planned.
Career Objective
To obtain a store manager job (or a lesser management position if needed to learn and grow with the company before becoming store manager) with a growth oriented company that I can contribute to. I am always looking to advance in a company and be part of a successful team. I desire to be part of a company that I can use my acquired skills, and the skills of the employees around me to improve the company and add to its success.
