Work Experience
Sales/Merchandise Management Team (Sep-2010 - Sep-2012)
Gallery Furniture, Houston, Texas
Sales: Enhanced the customer's shopping experience throughout the purchase process from greeting, qualifying, product presentation, closing and follow up after the sale. Practiced customer relations management to create long term relationship and referral generation. Captured contact information on current non buyers to follow up and convert into buying customers. Used Ipad to enter sales transactions, credit applications, input data into Salesforce, search competitor websites, send emails and thank you notes to client base.
Merchandise: Attended furniture markets and worked with vendors in obtaining optimal product line-up. Teamed with display and tagging staff to promote exciting floor presentations. Worked with warehouse staff to ensure that discontinued and dead merchandise flowed to proper clearance locations to recoup inventory dollars.
