As Director proposed a partnership with a Major carpet manufacture to allow Carpet Universe to target the smaller accounts with their products being private labeled.Utilizing the many distribution centers this company had the transit time was cut by 74. percentage an therefore sales increased by strategically gaining market share. Carpet Universe Sold out in 1999.I remained on as a consultant to ensure the objective would continue.

Road-Max was founded as a Highly Cost effective mode of transportation targeting Dalton's Billion dollar a year Carpet industry. Instead of having a large building,dock doors, lift trucks and breaking freight down we did just the opposite We hauled only solid loads from point A-to B. We began with 3 Trucks 1997 and the savings and cost of operation soon became the #1 choice of preferred carriers. I called upon each and every account. Forming a honest personal relationship that grew just as fast as the company. In 2003 Road-Max had a fleet of 257 semi trucks and 675 53' reefer trailers (All of which was leased). Unable to launch a counter attack or match our rates Max Fuller of US EXPRESS purchased Road-Max. Few people ever knew Road-Max was ran and headquartered in 3 top offices of our carpet store in Dalton.

The web site would be well known as it was the Nations 1st Carpet website consisting of some 5,000 pages, in 4 languages that placed Bearden Brothers as a fore runner in carpet sales history as sales jumped from 3 million up to 15 million by 1999.The Bearden Brothers website was said to be ahead of its time..The increased popularity of Carpet Franchise stores,Buying groups would gain popularity as the many smaller retail stores lacked the buying power to be competitive and paid to jump on board in to ensure survival(Which came with a hefty Price) I along with my fearless employee team Launched The 1st Buying Group Based out of Dalton. After all who should know the business any better. The Unveiling of Bearden Brothers Carpet and Textile offered all the perks, products,and store layout for a small investment. We created Partners and the partners owned 100 percentage of their Business and we intern offered them the keys to "The Carpet Capitol itself".Implementation was simple and Highly effective and in less than 1year our partners grew to 56 independent stores Nationwide.
