* As Chief Executive Officer, direct all operations and personnel for two offices locations.

* Perform all recruiting and staffing, for all management personnel.

* Formulate and implement all human resource policies and programs, including compensation, for over 102 employees. Created corporation`s first human resources manual.

* Responsible for creating and introducing all operating policies and procedures, such as salary structure, job description, and daily operations. Travel extensively to all offices, ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to by local staff. Maintain final approval responsibility from the board directors for local policy changes.

* Provided oversight for the Federal Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act funding, to ensure that the State of Illinois was in compliance with its core requirements -- reducing the disproportionate number of minority youngsters coming in contact with the system; keeping incarcerated adult and juvenile offenders separated so they cannot see or hear one another; reporting statistics on status offenders securely detained in a jail, lockup or detention center; and making sure juveniles placed in a locked setting, during an investigation, are transferred to a juvenile detention center within six hours.

* Responsible for allocating the spending of Federal Title II funds as well as Title V funds, for prevention efforts at the state and local levels with juvenile justice activities through the State of Illinois.
