Product Support Rep

I work in Customer Service at KNA, a farm equipment manufacturing plant. My position includes various challenges. I troubleshoot customer problems on 3 product lines of machinery, investigating and determining warranty claims. In doing so, I work with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and the IT department to establish improvements and solve problems. I enter daily call logs and reports. Occasionally work the farm shows.

Crop Appraiser and Adjuster

Worked in between farming as a crop adjuster for 9 years, seasonal. I started at the local town ASCS office in Monroe, WI. 53566. My self employed responsibilities included working with various Ag offices within a 2.5 mile radius. I gathered farm maps, appraised crops in the field, measured grain bins, approved and denied crop losses. Worked with many different farms and farmers. This included intense sorting of paperwork and reports.

I was an owner / operator of a 50 cow dairy farm with 230 acres, starting right after High School with my Father. Cropped corn, hay, & oats with a total of approximately 100 head of cattle. Also worked a 2nd job as a crop adjuster for 9 of those years.

Went through school as an honor roll student. Farmed with my Father the first 10 years after school and then on my own on the family farm. After 18 years of farming, decided to take a job at Kuhn North America, where I was trained to assemble machines for one year, transferred to the Parts Dept for one year, and then to Product Support where I currently work today. I have never been without a job. Have taken excell and powerpoint classes, and am currently trying to learn the Spanish language.

Affiliations

One of my biggest challenges was obtaining a private VFR airplane pilots license in 1991. I have remained an AOPA member up to date.
