Career Summary and Objectives
For over 12 years I have been very successful developing HIV and AIDS programs, providing psychosocial support for people living with HIV and AIDS, orphans and vulnerable children. I have worked with public and private sector decision-makers to enhance HIV and AIDS national response. I have also worked with private sectors in making sure they fulfill their private corporate responsibilities. I worked with partners in building and strengthening their capacities. I have an extensive research background in HIV and AIDS and have published a book entitled HIV/AIDS Programs in Liberia: Strengths and Weaknesses (2007). I have a strong analytical and problem solving skill and I am a systematic and highly decision and result oriented person. I am computer literate and highly proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point, MS Publisher and Adobe PageMaker.
My goal is to take up a middle-level management assignment (to provide psychosocial support to people in need of social services) that will enable me to leverage my technical counseling and caring experience, along with my strong leadership skills to drive and exceed organizational objectives.
National AIDS Commission of Liberia (06/2010 10/2012

I worked with the National AIDS Commission of Liberia and was responsible for overall project management, coordination and liaison with government ministries, agencies and county focal persons, civil society, faith-based organizations and none-governmental organizations. I worked in close collaboration with UNAIDS, the UN Theme Group on AIDS, WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA and UN Women. One of my cardinal responsibilities was to advise the Commission Executive Director and the Executive Committee on program accomplishment and status. I also ensured project coordination and produced progress reports in accordance with the requests of the Executive Director of the National AIDS Commission, and the Commissions development partners. I also supervised staff of the Commission.

I organized and facilitated the establishment of the Government Line Ministries and Agencies HIV and AIDS Focal Persons. I handled the Secretariats correspondences and external relations dealing with government and development partners. I was responsible to organize meetings and retreats for the National Steering Committee (NSC) and the Executive Committee (EC) of the National AIDS Commission. I developed and implemented the Commissions annual work plan.

HIV and AIDS Coordinator, Buduburam Refugee Settlement, Ghana
I worked with the UNHCR implementing partner, the National Catholic Secretariat (NCS) as its HIV and AIDS Coordinator at the St. Gregory Catholic Clinic, Buduburam Refugee Settlement, Ghana, 2004 - 2008. I served as HIV and AIDS focal person at the settlement and liaised between the program site and other bodies such as the National AIDS Control Program (NACP) of Ghana, the District Health Directorate, Central Regional Health Directorate, and other partners. I organized and conducted training workshops for community-based organizations (CBOs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), pastors and imams, school teachers and students, and community outreach programs. I also provided prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) of HIV, voluntary counseling and testing (VCT), community outreach program, drama and cultural sensitization on HIV and AIDS, home-based care and support to persons living with and affected by HIV and AIDS, condom demonstration and distribution and post exposure prophylaxis (PEP) services for raped victims. I worked with 12 HIV and AIDS counselors for the implementation of the project at the Buduburam Refugee Settlement.

I provided psychosocial counseling for psychiatric patients, arranged and paid for accommodations, periodically visited and monitored their medications, and arranged with psychiatrists for their treatment. I organized and implemented malaria and TB prevention and control and avian flu campaigns. My responsibilities also included the purchase and supplies of drugs for the clinic and negotiated salaries and remunerations for clinic staff.

I was also responsible for analyzing the post distribution monitoring data and compiled reports thereafter.
