Beckman Coulter with 14,000 employees, develops, manufactures and markets products that simplify, automate and innovate complex biomedical testing in hospital laboratories around the world to diagnose disease, make treatment decisions and monitor patients. Director of Global Sales/Service Operations Jan 2006 - Oct 2011

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Global Services with a matrix reporting line to the CIO the new department was designed to bridge the gap between the business and corporate IT. Bringing in new software platforms and technologies while redesigning business processes to help adapt to the every changing technological footprint that would allow Beckman to gain efficiencies through technology advancement instead of increased headcount. My team operated in a matrix environment. I had 23 direct reports including; Oracle systems manager, BI analytics manager, Development manager, Project managers, Business analysts, and system analysts with a total team of approximately 130 associates in 10 different countries.

* Directed Global Oracle Implementations for all business functions often replacing unique legacy systems with a single instance of Oracle. It was necessary to reengineer business processes in each case to reduce implementation time.

* Met with sales and customers regularly to determine their needs and expectations from an end to end product deployment.

* Developed customer focused strategic goals and objectives to align with corporate initiatives, and established tactical and strategic agreements with customers to create alliances.

* Managed offshore resources in China and India and interacted with dealer vendor management to ensure customer satisfaction objectives were met.

* Scope, budget, design, and deploy technological solutions for call centers in Australia, China, Japan, US, Canada, UK and the Euro center in Switzerland

o Transitioned China and Japan from paper-based reporting to paperless.

o Increased customer facing time by 15%, increased the capacity of engineers from 5.5 to 7.9 calls per week reducing overtime on average $2M per year and reduced global headcount by 100.

* Managed and directed a portfolio of 10-15 projects ranging in size from 5 - 100 million dollars using SDLC waterfall method and other various project implementation tools.

* Implemented the Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) reporting solution as a way to measure company performance metrics and replaced Business Objects no longer a support solution.

o Designed a customer segmentation solution that would allow the use of reoccurring revenue to different from the top customer base and automate a service preference solution.

* Promote change management of business processes by adapting cultural norms and insuring that data input once entered into Oracle was standardized.

* Work through Supply Chain, Order Management, Sales, and Field Service to enhance business solutions or in some cases change business processes to adapt to technology of software on hand.

* Introduce Smartphone technology for Oracle Service Debriefing to gain real time customer knowledge.

* Partner with Trimble, a third party vendor, to develop a GPS solution that tied into Oracle mobility and gained access to real time customer site knowledge and dispatch capability.

Process Change Manager 2000 - 2004

Develop and institute Business Objects reporting for the purposes of driving key performance indicators throughout the global commercial operations team. With the visibility of these new dashboards and analytics we were able to develop new business process and procedures that allowed us to prepare as we rolled out a single global instance of Oracle which will replace over 29 different legacy systems. We started the deployment of Oracle with the Netherlands in a 2 year pilot phase program with support from Deloitte Consultancy.
