did not receive Family/Developmental Psych.

I majored in Psychology, taking several upper division courses such as; Abnormal Psych, Family Dynamics, Childhood development, Psych of Aggression, etc.

I did not graduate due to the fact that I took a "summer job" as a recreation therapist at Shangri-La Corp. when it was a small, ICF/MR. I fell in love with the population and the field and have been active in it ever since.

I worked at Shangri-La for over 3 years starting as a rec. therapist then moving into the residential program, eventually becoming a "Cottage Manager" at age 20. At the time, the agency was going through the decertification process as were all ICFs and it became too stressful, so I moved on to PCL.
