As a home manager I have worked closely with the Hannibal Regional Office as this business is licensed with the Department of Mental Health. While being employed with Personal Care Service Inc. a few of my duties have been hiring, training, and expelling of all staff members. As the home manager I oversee the day-to-day running of the facility and the care provided to individuals. I manage and coordinate all aspects of life in the group home. A big part of my position is to know that my clients have the best quality of life possible, to ensure that they are in a safe and happy energetic environment and that they are able to make as many choice in their life as possible. I review the medical needs of residents and schedule appointments with medical service providers. I communicate and interface with various groups of individuals, including case managers, health care providers, residents and the family members of residents. I also set and enforce policies, resolve disputes, administer dietary programs, train staff,scheduling,payroll, supervision and performance evaluations and ensure residents are properly cared for.

I am in charge of ensuring that all client's and staff"s files meet certification qualifications, along with maintenance of the company vehicles and homes. I also manage all the client's personal finances along with home finances and a variety of different bank accounts. I participate in all of the individual planning meetings for each client. I prepare five homes for all all the requirements for the re-certification for Department of Mental Health. For the past twelve years there has not been any core issues pertaining the homes I manage. I certify all employees for CPR/First Aid and Neglect/Abuse. I have clients that attend The Shelter Workshop and Learning Opportunities, I coordinate with the organizations to ensure the clients needs are being met. I make myself available to all the client's guardian's with all updates that occur. I coordinate all events planned.
