Summary of Experience

Owner and Founder of Pure Energy Coach LLC, based in Lancaster, PA with a second office in

Montana. Thirty two years experience in the home performance field, with a focus on energy

conservation and efficiency consulting, utility low-income home weatherization programs,

energy auditing, energy conservation education, quality assurance, and training. Experience

includes over five years as manager of the conservation department for an electric utility.

Supervise Independent Contractors for some work. Building Performance Institute (BPI)

Certified as a Building Analyst, Envelope Professional, Heating Professional, and Multi-Family

Building Analyst, BPI Super Proctor. All Field Technicians are BPI Certified.

December 2009, met with President Obama to brief him on opportunities for energy efficiency

businesses in the HOME STAR Program, by invitation. One of five on a roundtable.

October 2010, opened a green jobs training center in Montana.

Awards

April 2011: BPI's 2011 Tony Woods Award for Excellence in Advancing the Home Performance

Industry. This is the highest national award in this industry and is given to one individual per year.

ACI 2011: Recognized as one of the 25 pioneers in the Energy Efficiency field in the BPI Hall of Fame.

Pennsylvania s Low Income Usage Reduction Program:

Since 1987: As a contractor, currently perform energy education visits, weatherization

inspections, energy audits, contractor training, and some installation of measures for PPL EU

Lancaster Region s WRAP program (up to 600/ year of each). Co-developed the energy

education component of WRAP. Consult for program improvement.

Since 1989: As a contractor, currently perform comprehensive energy audits and inspections

visits for Columbia Gas' Warm Choice Weatherization Program in York, PA. (up to 70 per year).

Since mid 1995: As a contractor, currently perform inspections and energy education visits for

First Energy, Met-Ed s WARM Weatherization Program in all their service territories (up to 1200 a

year). Consult for program improvement.

In 2005 2006: As one of three chosen contractors, performed 23 intensive home energy

audits and energy education visits for high electricity users as part of PPL s Managing Cap

Credits Program.

In 2010: For PECO, performed 350 Quality Assurance Inspections on LIURP and LEEP jobs.

Since 1999: As a contractor, currently perform quality control inspections and energy

conservation education for First Energy, Jersey Central Power & Light s Comfort Partners

Program (up to 1400 a year). Consult for program improvement.

Since 2000: As a contractor, currently perform quality control inspections and energy

conservation education for New Jersey Natural Gas s Comfort Partners Program (up to 175 a

year).

Since 2005: As a contractor, currently perform quality control inspections and energy

conservation education for PSE&G s Comfort Partners Program (up to 450 a year).

Since 2007: As a contractor, currently perform quality control inspections and energy

conservation education for Elizabethtown Gas s, Atlantic City Electric s, and South Jersey

Gas s Comfort Partners Program (up to 200 a year).

Since 2009: As a contractor, chosen to assist the NJ Utilities in choosing Service Providers by

performing job inspections in 5 states.

In 2004 and 2005: As a subcontractor to Michael Blasnik & Associates, performed post inspections

and auditor Tag-Along Visits for Ohio s EPP Conservation Program Evaluation (86 field visits in program

participant s homes).

From 2000 2008: Performed quality control inspections on solar thermal and solar electric systems,

and educated consumers for the PA Renewables Program for PPL and First Energy.

In 1997 and 1998: As a contractor, performed quality control inspections and evaluation for

Philadelphia Gas Work s Conservation Works Weatherization Program (150 home inspections per

year).
