My role as General Foreman at the refinery is to manage and execute all electrical work on capital projects as well as routine/maintenance repair jobs.

Projects

Energy Project -Managed crew to install two Package Boilers,a Cogeneration Train with a Duct Fired Heat Recovery 3.2 Megawatt Steam Generator (HRSG)and an Electrical Distribution Building.

Estimated job cost based on conditions,difficulty,safety requirements and 3D model.

Developed detailed work breakdown structure with manhour totals.

Worked with Chevron team to implement all successors/predecessors into master schedule

Compiled material takeoff for project .

Worked closely with other contractors when charting work sequences.

Interfaced with project team and engineering firm to resolve all RFI's and change orders.

Managed crew of 25 to turn over project on schedule.

Oversaw all work related to electrical system checkout and commissioning.

Maintained detailed documentation and asbuilts throughout project.

Main Substation Replacement Project- Installation of new 15kV Substation Power Control Center (PCC),46kV Bus Rack Structure,new 15MVA 46-15 kV Power Transformers,CoGen Grounding Resistors,and associated relaying and utility tie-ins.

Oversaw crew on all phases of electrical construction including underground conduit,aboveground conduit,grounding,cable tray,cabling and power and control terminations.

Worked with Chevron and project team to execute a detailed cutover plan to nullify plant operational impact.

Oversaw all work related to electrical system checkout and commissioning.

Mentored many workers on Chevrons behavior based safety culture before they enter jobsite.

Foul Water Offgas Project-Installation of new Foul Water Oxidizer. This included a catalytic oxidizer skid to replace boiler incineration as a reliable alternate for ammonia destruction.

Managed crew on project including layout,rough in,conduit systems,cable tray systems,wire and cable installation,instrumentation,start up and commissioning.

Oversaw this project as well as the Energy Project simutaneously as the two projects needed to be complete for start-up.

Flare Fapor Recovery Project-Installed to draw gas from the FCC flare header and route back to the refinery process units for recovery and H2S removal.

Oversaw all aspects of electrical construction, including drawing review,material takeoff and ordering,conduit systems,cable tray systems,wire and cable installation,instrumentation,start up and commissioning.

Helped design conduit and cable tray routing with engineering firm who was awarded contract.

Chevron Hawaii Refinery 2008 Plant Wide Turnaround-Managed crew of 25 workers during turnaround.

Worked with Chevron managers on a complex temporary power plan which included generator placements, backboards with mounted disconnects,transformer power packs and all cable installations for each process unit.

Developed electrical WBS for removal of the top of the Regenerator to fit into General Contractors schedule.

Compiled work folders for different crews and various jobs during turnaround.

Laid out work to foreman in charge of all PM work on Plant Substations and Motor Control Centers.

In charge of all estimates,material takeoffs and ordering,scheduling,manpower coordination and reporting throughout the turnaround.

Crude Unit / Hydrogen-Dimersol Substation Changeout-Managed crew and helped design and plan all phases of electrical work.

Engineered complex underground duct bank with over 120 conduits stubbing up into substation.

Designed new cable tray system to be routed throughout Crude Unit.

Coordinated wire and cable installation.

Provided a detailed cutover plan to transfer all loads from old substation to new without disruption to plant operations.

Oversaw all work related to electrical system checkout and commissioning.
