Investigated rural population’s use of information services and the factors that hinder their use. Participated in literature review, questionnaire survey and interview, data analysis with quantitative software SPSS. Co-authored three papers (one in English), two published.

June 2006 Sept 2007 Chinese Tutor, Hantang Chinese Language Training Centre. (Part-time)Gave lecture in Madarin speaking and grammar. The target group is foreigners without Chinese learning experience, therefore, this role is highly demanding in communication skills and the ability in dealing with people from a variety of cultural background.

SKILLS

Computing My present bank of skills includes: excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet, SPSS, Photoshop, Macromedia Dreamweaver, excellent knowledge of programming/scripting language HTML, XML, ASP, SQL and good knowledge of Visual FoxPro.

Language Skills my first language is Mandarin. I can speak and write in English fluently. My Internet Based TOFEL (IBT) scores is 108/120, full mark in the Writing part. Also I can communicate in Cantonese and French (basic).

INTERESTS/ACTIVITIES

I am a member of Sheffield University Archery Club. And I am interested in photography and cooking. The outdoor activities, like hiking and tennis, are also attractive to me.
